VERDICT: Inspiration is just a word but giving weightage to it Debaprasad Mukherjee has created a piece of literature down to earth very simple in content but rich in values.
REVIEW: My attempt here is not to reveal the story line because that is what you must read and enjoy by purchasing the book. I would like to highlight certain very important aspects that the author through his debut book has eloquently displayed. The Cover though not that attractive speaks for the story of a normal life of Boltu, the protagonist, which is filled with uncertainties. The Themes dealt are relevant and apt, they are survival instinct, friendship, relationship, love, betrayal, altruism, and financial hegemony. The descriptions are to be admired giving a hint to the authors real life experience with such characters. So the arrangement of plot and the development of characters is classic. Basically it is a journey that will empower you to live a confident life through obstacles and overcome them giving meaning and sense to your life. Boltu is certain to inspire you.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Debaprasad Mukherjee is a doctor by profession. Originally from Rourkela in the state of Odisha, he graduated from Berhampur in 1982. Then he went on to serve in different organisations inclusive of the Army Medical Corps, NHPC and Coal India Limited. His first book, Pearl Oysters, a collection of short stories was published in 2011. His second book, Familiar Faces also a collection of short stories was published in 2014. BOLTU is author’s first novel. The author has resigned from his last job as a Medical Superintendent in CIL and settled permanently at Bilaspur in the state of Chhattisgarh. Here he runs a private clinic and devotes a large chunk of time in creating his forthcoming literary works. He is an avid follower of writers like Anton Chekov, RK Narayan, PG Wodehouse and Agatha Christie amongst others. Yet in his writings he follows a style absolutely original of his own.
