Psycon! When I first heard this name I was wondering what it meant but when I read the book all my doubts evaded. The word is a combination of two words psychology and convict. I think the author has very artistically devised this title to match the story behind it all.
The story is a political thriller and a must read for every Indian who is engrossed in politics day in day out. To top it all, not just politics the corruption that goes with it. It deals with themes like black money, corruption, politics, illegal supply of goods, and very relevant triple talak etc. The novel thus is a relevant package of information as well as entertainment. The author has beautifully done his job of narration through his solid characters. And that is truly appreciable.
When one reads this novel one gets a picture as it is perhaps written with an intention to later be converted into a movie. Psycon gives you that pleasure of sitting in a theatre and enjoying every bit of the scenes. The most attractive part of the whole novel is the investigations. They keep you alert till the end and the surprise factor going.
What else can we ask from an author? I truly believe that this was one such novel that gave me satisfaction for having read it. Ofcourse Varun has excelled in this genre, let us hope for much more in the near future.
